Dr. Troy Payne, Justice faculty, has been appointed the UAA representative for the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). ICPSR is an international consortium of about 700 academic institutions and research organizations. UAA is an ICPSR member institution. Its membership is supported and maintained by the Justice Center.Based at the University of Michigan, ICPSR maintains a data archive of more than 500,000 files of research in the social sciences, and hosts 16 specialized collections of data in education, aging, criminal justice, substance abuse, terrorism, and other fields.
Anyone in the UAA community can request access to and utilize ICPSR data. Dr. Payne will be sharing information about ICPSR resources with UAA faculty members and students, and will be the contact person for all UAA campus users of ICPSR data.
