Dr. Sharon Chamard, Justice faculty, recently completed a two-day "train the trainer" course for Neighborhood Watch. The course was hosted by the Anchorage Police Department and presented by the National Sheriffs' Association.The National Sheriff's Association in partnership with the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice has created Neighborhood Watch training targeted at law enforcement officers and citizen coordinators. This training emphasizes crime prevention and also includes homeland security issues.
