Dr. Allan Barnes, Justice faculty, presented at the recent Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences annual meeting in Philadelphia.He discussed "Justice Student Perceptions of POGIL Techniques." Dr. Barnes presented student feedback on Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) techniques as applied in upper division justice courses. POGIL techniques are part of the increasing movement towards a team-based interactive classroom experience for students. These strategies can improve discussion and retention of material.
