Dr. Rosay presents to Alaska House Finance Committee with Attorney General and Commissioners

Dr. André Rosay, Justice Center Director, will present an update on domestic violence and sexual assault programs to the Alaska House Finance Committee on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 1:30 p.m.  His co-presenters will include Lauree Morton, Executive Director of the Alaska Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, Alaska Attorney General Michael Gerahty, and the Commissioners from the Alaska Department of Public Safety (Joseph Masters), Alaska Department of Corrections (Joe Schmidt), Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (William Streur), and Alaska Department of Education & Early Development (Mike Hanley).

Representative Bill Stoltze (R) and Representative Bill Thomas (R) are the co-chairs of the House Finance Committee.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Rosay will meet with the Division of Behavioral Health  of the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services and a group of UAF Distance Bachelor of Social Work students to discuss the Alaska Victimization Survey and its implications for policy and practice in health-related careers.
