Dr. Marny Rivera, Justice Center faculty, was interviewed by Leyla Santiago of Channel 2 News about Alaska alcohol and drug abuse rates in light of the Alaska Department of Corrections' proposed expansion of substance abuse treatment programs. During the May 18, 2009 segment, Dr. Rivera discussed the relationship between substance abuse and crime, and the availability and effectiveness of treatment programs.
