The results of the 2011 Victimization Survey for the City and Borough of Juneau
will be introduced at a press conference on Monday, October 17, at 10:00 a.m. in Room 224, City Hall, 155 S. Seward St. This survey was conducted in the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) through a contract with the Council on Domestic Violence and
Sexual Assault (CDVSA). A brief overview of the survey will be followed
by a presentation of the data and a discussion of the results.
This victimization survey was conducted in the City and Borough of Juneau from April
2011 to June 2011. The survey was designed to measure the lifetime and
past year exposure to sexual violence and intimate partner violence.
The press conference is being held jointly by the City and Borough of Juneau, the
Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, Aiding Women in Abuse and Rape Emergencies (AWARE), and the UAA Justice
Center.
