Dr. Ryan Fortson, J.D., Ph.D., Legal Studies faculty in the Justice Center, presented data from a study on outcomes in the Palmer, Alaska Court, to the Alaska Bar Association Family Law Section on October 4. Dr. Fortson and Dr. Troy Payne, Justice faculty, co-authored the study which looked at represented and non-represented parents in custody trials in the Palmer Court to determine the effect of legal representation on custody determinations.
